Magic Wings

Life has taken me away from the keyboard for awhile, but I'm finding my way back! I haven't had much energy left lately. My Little Butterfly takes it all. That's what I called my daughter during her stay in Intensive Care.  She was a preemie and always swaddled up in her blanket, like a cocoon. She blossomed quickly and became a favorite among the staff with her funny faces and bright smile. Her personality is BIG! We are grateful for the wonderful care she received and recently braved the hot sun to attend the yearly reunion for family and staff. It was held at The Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC. I was melting in the outdoor tent setting and sought refuge in one of  my favorite places, the Magic Wings Butterfly House. The exotic flowers and mist from the sprinklers make it a tropical rainforest paradise.  It was heavenly when the butterflies surrounded us. Anyone who knows me should be able to tell you that when two of them landed on my butterfly's carriage…
